What sort of items can be removed from my credit report?
Any negative item that is inaccurate, unfair or unverified can be challenged and potentially removed with the bureaus that contribute to your credit score. This includes but is not limited to collections, late payments, charge-offs, liens, bankruptcies, and repossessions.
Does paying my bills restore my credit?
We recommend doing your best to stay current on your active bills and debts and reaching out for help when you are experiencing financial challenges as there may be solutions you are unaware of that can help. In regard to paying off old debts, it may not be as simple as getting them current to achieve your credit goals so we do ultimately recommend having a discussion in greater detail about your credit challenges.
How long before my credit score is improved?
Every credit report is unique. With a concrete plan, you can see measurable improvement in as soon as 30 days, but achieving your credit goals may take as much as six months.
